Character conflict is the heart of drama for your screenplay. Your characters' emotional conflicts are what give heart and spirit to your script. It's the characters who create the conflict in your screenplay by the choices and decisions they make.

Successful screenplays are based on emotional relationships and conflicts within and among the characters. Since emotional conflict is the stuff from which great stories are made it is important for you to completely understand your character's emotional world.
