Level Three

1. Choose three ideas from your "Idea File" that feature something or someone you would be most apt to find in specific settings. For instance, a mayor at City Hall, a parrot in the rainforest or an apparition in a graveyard. Apply the four-step process and do first drafts.

2. Now switch settings for the three poems, coming up with the most unusual or intriguing combinations, say: the parrot at church, the mayor in the rainforest and the apparition at City Hall. Compose these poems and compare them to your earlier drafts, analyzing changes in voice.
