If people are just browsing embedding may be okay

Most Wikipedia articles are full of embedded links. The page in Figure 12-16 is just one of thousands of examples I could have selected from Wikipedia.org.

Does having many embedded links work for Wikipedia articles because people most often come to Wikipedia in browsing mode? Are they eager to see how a topic branches and connects to many other topics?

A wiki (IPA: f\w.W:] <WICK-ee> or [W^KU] «WEE-kee^1)) is a type of webs tie that allows users to easily add, remove, or otherwise edit and change some available content, sometimes without the need for registration This ease or interaction and operation makes a wiki an effective tool for collaborative -authoring The term wiki can also refer to the collaborative software itself (wiki, engine) that facilitates the operation of such a website (see wiki software), or^ to certain specific wiki sites, including the computer science site (and ori wiki), Wiki Wiki Web, and the online encyclopedias such as Wikipedia'The first wiki, WikiWikiWeb. is named after the "Wiki Wiki" line of Chance RT-52 buses in Honolulu International Airport, Hawaii. ("Wiki wiki" means "quick" or "hurry" in Hawaiian, and also refers to a type of fish native to the islands). It was created in 1994 and installed on the web in 1995 by Ward Cunningham, who also created the Portland Pattern Repository.

A typical article in Wikipedia has many S^y embedded links.
